Been asked to look at a mates G.D.A BF72 integrated dishwasher, he says it runs for a few mins then beeps & E8 is on display, don’t see it in the fault codes thread on here.
Not sure on that specific model but if it is an Indesit heap. ALO8 on a similar DWF70 and DWM75 is a heater fault. The heater is very prone to failure on these and can be easily accessed and checked with the base off.
yep i had same fault it gave me two types of fault on same m/c 1.e8 code stopped after 2-3 mins or 2.kept running to end of cycle but everything cold 😀 hope this halps ta for meile hint
Its the type with the Black Cardboard type cover on top & down the back, heater is the thru flow type heater (adjacent to circ’ pump) as used mostly in whirlpool d’w’s,, are there any resettable cut-outs on this machine? I think there is a built in overheat device on heater from memory, can anyone confirm this
Seamy sorry to give you wrong gen!If it is Smeg as Dave say’s also check in sump to see if there is black rubber disk under filter to the rear of sump. if there is lift it up and clean up inside with bottle brush to remove possible blockage,as this not onlygives E8 but E2 fault code regards Bendaireboy [nige]
