Great piece of kit but you’ll soon be kicking yourself for not getting a 4G compatible smartphone. 😉
As for the 3 network I have no clue, sorry.

Im currently writting this on a Galaxy Note (GT-N7000 is the 1st note). I did have iphone, Nokia and blackberry previously.
The large screen makes internet much more usable without carrying a tablet.
Not had any issues with 3 apart from constant calls from lndia trying to upgrade under the pretence they where 3, have had some fun winding them up, one lady told me to go a jump out of my effing window.
I have jumped over to Vodaphone as their customer service is lets say more human than the robotic scripted americanism indian nonscence 3 employ.
No major issues with memory as you extend with a mini sd card.
Emailing photos with tech issues is handy especially when using the pen to mark or write on the photo.
Such as the one attached.
The biggest draw back though is battery life, although it can be beaten by getting an extra battery with extended life from Amazon. Cost me £20 for battery and car charger.
The sat nav and GPS work better than most seperate units.
I will be upgrading in due course to the next version, the screen size l was concerned about hasn’t been an issue apart from a few peeps commenting on size 😆
All in all no issues and lots of reasons to buy.

thanks very much for replies, the main reason for going with 3 is the data useage is unlimited so nasty surprises on your bill and i thought the new note was 4g ready anyway which the lass in the 3 shop said they automatically put you on rather than charge extra

Im on unlimited data with Vodaphone. For me the screen size matters more. Screens on other phones are rubbish & a tab is more attractive on 4g than any phone with a screen smaller than the note.

ive got the note 2 – its great for internet emails etc , theres a ton of stuff on it that i havent tried yet .
must admit its a bit clumsy when trying to use one handed ..
google maps – satnav really good ..
lots more than ill ever use – in constantly pressing buttons by accident and finding cool stuff thats built into it .

I’m on Three’s £15 a month One plan. Truly unlimited data, 2000 minutes and 2000 texts. It’s been brilliant for me in my area. I have a Galaxy S3 and just leave the hotspot on so I can use my tablet for doing anything that needs a bigger/better screen.
It might be worth getting a sim only deal for a month (£18) just to see what the reception and data rates are like in your area first though. It’s what I did before I switched to Three.
