I would really appreciate a recommended engineer or company for my father living in Hove. He has a gas hob & gas boiler just for central heating (no water) and at the moment has a contract with BG, which covers emergency call out, but it seems very expensive. It comes up for renewal in a couple of months, so would like to see if there is a better alternative. Many thanks

Why not phone BG. Speak to them nicely and see if the rate is negotiable in any way.

He has a Baxi Solo 3, 60PF, this only does the radiators as he is in a flat with communal hot water. He has their Homecare 200 which they are charging him £272.66 p.a.
I also found out that he had an annual cover for his only other gas appliance, a gas hob for £99.80p.a. – this I think is a complete waste of money.I think it’s a case of being sold more than he needs, he 87 now and hasn’t kept up with all has outgoings. Hence me trying to get the best deal for him.
Any suggestions very welcome.
