Gas Dryer

I have been asked to fit a drum to a white knight Gas dryer,
I have repaired those about 15 years ago I did not know they were still around,
Is is it legal to repair as I am not gas registed and they used to have bayonet gas connections,
Is that still the case.

Not as far as I know but the Gas boys should be able to confirm it.

My understanding is if it involves opening a combustion chamber seal (which changing a drum would certainly do), you require Gas Safe registration. I changed a motor capacitor for one of these (which I seem to remember involved removing a small cover from the back panel) and found out afterwards even that seemed to be a grey area:
