ParticipantI have a Free Standing Zanussi ZCG 7902X Gas Cooker but the Lower(Main) Gas oven has stopped working.
The Spark is working on the Hobs as is the gas supply to them. The Grill and the Upper oven are also functioning.
I have tested all the external fuses and they are working fine. The Programming Panel and clock are not functioning and the Oven light is also not working.I’m just wondering whether an Oven Light malfunction could cause a breakdown of the Gas Supply to the Oven?
PNC No 943204169
Serial No 34200085I think I probably need to get Zanussi to repair it but I could be missing something rather obvious.Any Help would be appreciated.

Hi
If your front panel / programer is not working then this will probably the cause of the oven not to work.the timer / clock needs to be set to manual to allow the oven to operate.

Hi Bryan,
I have tried setting the Oven Programmer on manual but there is no supply of gas to the oven and no ignition.
There is no display of information on the Oven Programmer regardless of which setting I turn it to.Many thanks for your input.Jazz

Hi
Have you got the user manual ?
What ever you do it will need the clock to be set correctly even to get the light/ignition/gas to operate.

Hi Bryan,
Have you got the user manual ?
Yes I do have the user manual.
What ever you do it will need the clock to be set correctly even to get the light/ignition/gas to operate.
I’m getting nothing at all in the Program Panel.Thats why I spent some time checking Fuses.
The user manual states that when power is cut and then restored the Timer Display will flash but nothing is happening.I don’t know if the Cooker has some sort of internal fuse or if the system will not function if the oven light is not working?
Thanks again for your input. Jazz

Participantcant say a lot, cos its a gas cooker..
chances are, the sonoid/ffd assembly has gone faulty, and blown the clock
get an engineer (corgi registered) as its a job for a ‘competent’ person
