GE Dryer DISQ493DT Belt required

Hi all,

I have an old American GE Dryer DISQ493DT. Great machine, but the belt’s broke and I’m having an absolute pig finding a replacement. Absolutely crazy to discard of a perfectly good machine because of a broken belt, so can anyone tell me where I can get a new belt either here in the UK or in the US.

Don’t know how true it is, but one engineer who came to fix it once said that they use whirlpool parts for it, but can’t locate that engineer!!

Would appreciate some pointers.

Have a look at the old belt,
has it got 3,4 0r 5 grooves in it? and also we need all the numbers off the belt to try and identify the size,could well be the same as others.

The part number you need is GE part No. WE12M29 drive belt,Previous part number :
7550655532, Belt No. 559C197P004. Length 89 1/2 inches 4 rib.
