If its the Qualtex ones i’m not suprised.. picked up one from my interlock box this week which was manufactured just a couple of months ago & the bloody screw holes were bigger than the holes in the machines front panel! The screws just fell out :rolls:

yes , know what you mean, have had a few quality issues with pattern parts . But Masterpart seem to be poor quality. Have had carbon brushes that seem to be made from graphite, burning motors out till the penny dropped, dorr locks as mentioned+ latest one is the servis/merloni integrated fridge door hinges which after about a week the door goes out of alignment, catches units+ door won’t shut.

    Re: Genuine parts

In the last year i’ve been back to replace two pattern oven elements that failed within weeks of fitting them.
Genuine elements for me in the future.
In Masterpart’s defence, they listened, sorted the problem & credited my account immediately.

    Re: Genuine parts

Not good,in one day i changed a interlock that was working for a Masterpart one and the machine would not start and then changed a working vt9 and that would not start..These are parts i fit to all machines before i sell so i try to get these as cheap as possible,.I have lost confidence in them and they have gone in the bin.The interlocks were easy to sort out, they are the ones with large holes in and the screws just fall out

    Re: Genuine parts

More fun & games today with crappy parts & i’m getting SERIOUSLY fed up with it 🙁 8uf cap fitted to a Zan condens dryer 9 weeks ago.. failed with a big carbuncle sprouting from the side :rolls:
That was this morning, then last job of day, fitting dual circ radiant ring to an old dears cooker. Threw trip the moment it was switched on, popped off earth wire to see if it would clear any possible dampness & left said ring running at full bore for 5 mins.. volts measured ‘tween cooker body & earthwire after this time.. 230 😯 ..nice.
JUST what you want with a 80 year old punter & her Aluminium handled pans :rolls:
Needless to say i removed it, such a fekkin waste of my time & Diesel though, Masterpart & Homespare PLEASE stop sourcing this sh*t. 👿

    Re: Genuine parts

might hate me for this but been very impressed with the electruepart spares from connect.

95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the merloni pattern spares are identical to genuine, and most of the elements are as reliable, if not better than oem. ESPECIALLY whirlpool and bosch.

thing is, we do so much buisness with them, the electruepart stock can sometimes cost more than the oem, or within a max of 2-5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the pattern price, so we tend to get the oem in for stock. one thing i have noticed is the electruepart bosch and h.p gaskets are definitely poorer quality than oem, but they are ideal if ur customer is looking to keep it going for only a year or 2… at a 2/3 the price…. because the machine is on its way out…
