    It appears to me that I need to remove the control panel to access the screws in order to then remove the front panel. Is this correct?
    If so how does one unclip the control panel. I don’t want to risk cracking it?

    Best to do this through door with machine tipped back. Fiddly job to do, but a lot easier than removing front panel.
