    Hi,

My Hotpoint fridge-freezer of 16 years is finally on its last legs (fridge–the freezer part is fine) so we’re looking to replace it–anybody got any recommendations?
    We’re looking for something:

More fridge than freezer (we have a small freezer and fridge in the garage as back ups)
No more than 60/65cm wide, but height is not a problem
Keeping things well chilled more important than efficiency rating
Mostly going to be used for diary/veg/meat–bottles will go in garage.
    Reliable!
    Frost free not important
Kept in kitchen, so av room temp.

Any advice will be very welcome–the choice (from when I last bought one 16 years ago) is bewildering!

    Thanks

    Re: Good fridge freezer?

    Hi ozzie

Brands in order of build quality and reliability IMHO would be Liebherr, Fisher & Paykel, Miele, (of which some are made by Liebherr 😉 ) Bosch, Siemens, AEG, Zanussi, Electrolux, Gorenje, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Beko, Indesit and Lec. To get a grip on who is with who this guide to what is in a name is a good read as is this guide on fridge freezers.

Most of the brands above will have A rated products as energy performance is at the foremost in consumers minds these days. In the end as always it comes down to price and the old nugget still applies you do get what you pay for.

Hope this gives you a good start, anything else then just ask.

    NEFF is built-in Bosch

    Hi

As P45 rightly says Neff is built in Bosch appliances, except for a couple of range cookers.

If it`s this type you are after can you give me some spec to work with.
