Hi, I’m looking for a good quality free standing cooker. I wanted to get a Neff oven as I bake a lot but I realise they only do built in appliances and I’ll need a 60cm model.

I have a cheap indesit now, I think my inlaws got it for me. I’ve had it for about 5 years and it’s starting burning stuff on one side of the oven and things are sinking. I can also only use one shelf at a time. The front right hob also turns off the electrics if it’s on for too long :/ I know it’s cheap and crap so would like to get something better, preferebly under £600.

    Any recommedations?

    Hi NotIntegrated

Are you looking for electric, gas or duel fuel?

    Hi Don,

I’m looking for an electric one, with a double oven.

A bit off topic but are all double ovens really just a top grill and a bottom oven?

Double ovens are oven and grill in top cavity and large fan oven underneath.

All electric models, I would look at the Hotpoint HUE62, Hotpoint CH60ET and the Zanussi ZVC665. You can always tell how a cooker is made by opening and closing the oven doors. The lower the “thunk” the better the build. Also take a good look at shelf thickness’s and the shelf supports.

    HTH 🙂

Thanks Don. The top oven of the Zanussi zcv665 looks huge! I’ll try to get a look of them in real life.

Also I’ve read on the forums that hotpoint is the same as indesit? Why are these ones better?
