Good quality UK-made integrated dishwasher?

Hi all

We’ve recently moved house and I’m after an integrated dishwasher to replace the dated indesit which is on its last legs.

I’d appreciate recommendations for a good quality integrated 60cm width dishwasher – we’ve seen a few Bosch, Neff etc machines for around the £400 to £450 mark, but I would be interested whether there’s one of comparable quality in that price range which is made in the UK. I’ve had a quick look at ISE but there’s no integrated machine, and I’m not quite sure I could stretch to the prices – they look superbly engineered but budget isn;t quite that big!

Any and all advice gratefully received.

Sadly there are no English made machines anymore, Bosch, Neff and Siemens (same group) are as good as it gets in your price range.

Bosch are running a cash back on selected appliances through selected retailers.

Ta Don – I recall there was a plant near Yate (just north of Bristol) which was – I think – Indesit, assume either they don’t make dishwashers or they’re out of business.

I’ll have a look at Siemens and the Bosch and Neff machines. We’ve got a Siemens washing machine that’s going well, so more than happy to consider those. Assume the Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese manufacturers such as LG and Samsung aren’t quite up to the German quality levels?

The funny thing about UK made l noticed on a trip around a UK cooker factory, without sounding xenophobic there was no Brit’s on the factory floor or in the design process. The receptionist was English. British engineers have all gone abroad, so ironically your no worse off buy a foreign machine.

As for German machines, all white goods are via Balay in Spain, there are 7 ish factories in Spain making Neff, Bosch fridges, cookers, hobs. The washers and dishwashers are made in Poland.

Bosch also part own one of the largest white goods factories in China.

I note the Bosch SMV50C00GB currently has £50 cashback, making it about £330.

Worth considering? I’m not sure what the various features I should be looking for are – it’s got an A+ rating, and I’d hope would be of decent enough quality.
