    Good morning all,

Wondering if anyone has experienced an unusual problem with the above m/c?

I have renewed the drum bearings and spider due to the bearings being severely worn.

However, now re-assembled the m/c trips out immediately a programme is selected.

The m/c has been laid up for 3-4 weeks awaiting the spider, so I wondered if the motor had got moisture into its windings etc.

However, I have tested the motor and it is fine.

If I disconnect the multi plugs at the control board for the motor and door interlock, then the unit does not trip.

The door interlock is also fine, as is the wiring/harness.

If the motor or other component blew the board, which looks ok, would the m/c continue to trip?

I didn’t disturb many wires when stripping the assembly, and struggling to locate the cause.

The m/c is barely two years old, and in good condition otherwise.

    Best wishes,

    Jon

    Hi

How bad was the bearings ?. If bad did it cut into the element ?. Other than that you’ve connected something up incorrectly.

    Hello Bryan,

The bearing were severely worn, but had not cut into the heating element.

I’ve checked, and double checked all the wiring connections, especially the ones that I disconnected.

However, they are all fine so remains a mystery for now.

    Best wishes,

    Jon
