Hi, I’m currently buying the appliances for a new kitchen and pretty much settled on all of them except the cooker hood. Ideally I’m looking for something with black glass or generally black and have found two possibilities – a Siemens LC665GA30B or a Gorenje DVG8545AXUK. I imagine the Siemens one can be relied upon to be a good device but can anyone offer advice on the Gorenje alternative?
Looks wise it seems very stylish, the specs they give on extraction and noise seem better than the Siemens and the price is comparable (around £470) but I have no knowledge of the brand. Is it respectable/quality or will I live to regret trying out this brand?

    Many thanks in advance,

    SpoonControl.

Re: Gorenje Cooker Hoods – Any Good?

    Hi there,

Gorenje are a Slovenian appliance manufacture that produce a good selection of quality products but the hoods will be sourced from an Italian supplier and should be of a good quality.

The good thing is that they offer a 5 yr parts and labour guarantee for peace of mind.

    Cheers,

    Greaseater.

In my opinion the Siemens is better quality despite the long guarantee from Gorenje
