Gorenje dishwasher

Can anyone help? this is a Gorenje/Beko made dishwasher GNV41922, compliant of poor washing.
On visit, it filled okay and you hear motor come on and slosh water round for a few seconds, then although motor still running the water sound disappears.
When you open the door, the water has gone from inside unit, but as you leave door open the water appears back inside!
Drain hose connected to sink, so not too low in stand pipe and syphoning.

sounds like its not getting enough water

looked up tech and no mention of this one.

the water is going somewhere and if its just filling the pipes it may not be enough

try adding a pan full of water
