I’ve found a resistor blown on board. Fault was that machine would not turn off at prog dial and no spin. The customer changed the brushes, they were low but had not sparked on armature. I’m a bit nervous of fitting a board. The new brushes were not making good contact but I’ve sorted that and the machine spins but does not tumble though tacho seems ok. Can anyone reassure me?

Fairly common for doing this if the brushes were low – usually takes the board out too. Masterpart or Independent keep the boards in.
