grainy/gritty deposit left on glasses

We have a Bosch Exxcel SGS45E08GB dishwasher.

It has recently stopped cleaning properly. There is now always a considerable amount of gritty/grainy deposit left on glasses. It sometimes appears on plates in the lower rack as well and some dishes in the top rack are not fully cleaned.

This deposit has occured occasionally before when the top rack was overloaded or a glass was pushed out of place by something but is now occuring everytime regardless of how much is in the dishwasher. We use a selection of detergents but have not veered from this usual selection. The salt and rinse aid are topped up. I have cleaned the filters and the spray arms. Water runs freely from all holes in the spray arms when held under a tap. I have just tried a Finish dishwasher cleaner as well but still no difference.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received!
