Moderatorheat pump dryers do not have heaters they use waste heat from the refrigeration process
also expect extended drying time when compared with standard dryers but the energy saving makes it worth itDave

ParticipantIt does take ages to dry (Usually 3 hrs or shorter when on the quick setting ) but clothes can be in for.5 hrs and when I open door, no water collected and the steam from the clothing comes out door . So it’s not gathering the heated air to evaporate

Moderatorthe fact the clothes are getting hot means the air must be circulating. the air path takes it through the evaporator so i cant think why its not working
have you check the input to the evaporator to make sure its not clogged ? should be a door left hand side front
has this unit ever worked at all ?

ParticipantHi , thanks for replay .
Yeah it worked no problems untill the water wasnt draining.
I have had the filters out from the bottom and cleaned them ( they werent dirty) .How does the waste water get sent up to the door container?
is there a lift float to check ?Bought it from curries over a year ago and kept it in box till kitchen was done , so been using it for 3 months and now this .

Moderatorwater is pumped up once the float lifts but if it was filling with water it would eventually leak and yours is not
Whats the model number ?

Moderatorok
open lower cover. remove filter and look in the hole it came out of. you should see the fins of the evaporator. check these fins are not clogged with fluffDave

ParticipantHi , sorry not had chance to look at machine till now . The filters are clear . I hovered them out .
so put it on for a spin on 40 min rapid dry to get temperature up .
Put clothing out washer in .
Now.all I’m getting is bairly and heat now .
it’s not noticable like before there was steam coming from clothesSeptember 10, 2020 at 2:46 pm #471703electrofix
Moderatorheat pump dryers dont get that hot
the important question is, Is it drying
what you have to remember is these units are no more than a de-humidifier in a case. the heat is only waste heat from the compressor which is why they are efficient

ModeratorAnother thing to ask here is what wash programme are you using because the spin speed of your washing machine will make a big difference to the way your dryer drys your clothes as if the spin speed is 1000 rpm it will have alot more moisture in them compared to a 1400 rpm spin speed, note if you have a 1400 spin washer it doesn’t spin to 1400 rpm on every cycle
