ParticipantWe ordered a Special from Connect for a Ignis/Whirlpool Dishwasher, part WPL481245217903
When it come in at a trade cost of £99.90 +
We found it was the same tiny module we ordered a few weeks before for a Beko which cost us £6.08. part BEK1731190300.
They both had the original label with the same part number
1731190300.
Its a shame it was not cross referenced when ordering
But the point I wonted to make was how greedy Whirlpool are on prices.
I brought some Whirlpool washing machines a few years ago and PCB:s started to go, out of guarantee and the cost of the PCB was more then I paid for the MachinesSeptember 20, 2012 at 10:54 am #381561Jackal

Sad isn’t and something specifically designed to hurt the UK market as you can buy that part number from Whirlpool Poland for 9 euros.
Sadly they won’t ship to UK but it shows how the UK entity think they can treat us.

I think we need a thread that cross references part numbers so people can do a quick search for cheaper versions

When it come in at a trade cost of £99.90 +Everyone and his dog knows that Whirlpool charge funny money for their spares. But you are in for a hiding to nothing by buying them through Connect (CDSL) ‘cos they always at least triple the price they buy for before passing it on to you. Robbing barstewards that they are. But your case at least proves that they have raised the mark up bar even higher by shifting the decimal place over rather than just using the multiplication table. :rolls:
Thanks for the heads up! 😀

Just got a price for a Smeg washing machine Module, It’s more expensive trade from
Connect and Masterpart Then Smeg price to the public.
Does this mean we always have to check manafactur prices.September 26, 2012 at 6:43 am #381565squadman

I think we All need to be checking prices of everything we order, we need to be far more savy, only then will we see more realistic prices to us the trade. This is easier than ever now and between the manufacturers jacking prices along with the wholesalers at it they are doing a lot of damage to our trade.

A “righteous” suggestion by rocketman.
Such a source for cross-referencing spare parts commonality by price would prove very useful.
