Hi Guy’s, I need a little advice on what component needs replacing on my New World Sterling Gas Oven and whether it is possible / safe to do it myself rather than calling in an engineer. The top grill fails to produce any ignition spark when the knob is pressed. I have taken the top off the oven in order to check for any lose connections, all seems to be ok. I can only assume that the component that fits around the grill control is faulty? If I depress the main cooker knob the ignition process starts. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated and if so is this an easy component to change?
Re: Grill Fails to Ignite on Newworld Sterling Gas Oven
Sorry Chris but we do not advise messing with gas appliances in any way, shape or form. For your own safety and that of your family and property get the experts in to fix it! 😕
Whilst you didn’t give us the model number of your appliance, I suspect it is the Hotpoint/Indesit group service department you need to contact? 😉
