grill in old philips whirlpool oven stuck on full blast

hey there!

the grill was working fine then one day just has one power: full. it doesn’t matter what number the knob is set to, it’s always on full blast. i have to sit there turning it off and on like a thermostat.

i had a washing machine repair man round last year and i asked him on the off chance that he might know something about it, he said the most likely thing is the regulator switch. sounds likely, but i wouldn’t have a clue where to get this part or if this is something i can have a go at fixing myself.

can anyone help?

yes regulator sounds likely

will need model and 12nc number off the label ( normally round the door) to look up part
