wonder if anyone could help me? I touched my grill element with foil and tripped my rcd in main box, switched back on and temperature light stays on and even though the switch to the grill is turned to the off position my element starts getting hot when I turn the temperature switch up, my oven is a baumatic bo796.5ss thanks in advance if you can solve what I need to replace

    Re: grill/temperature light fault

Both the grill element and control switch are suspect and would need replacing I would thing from what you say. Both need testing with an insulation meter as does the rest of the appliance. So I would suggest professional help to resolve. 😀

firstly thanks for your response. Are you an appliance repair man? if you are what sort of costs do you think I’d be paying to get these parts replaced? just weighing up price to repair vs a new oven

Contact your local repair person, tell them your problem and ask that same question directly to them is the best way forward here.
