Grill trips out as it heats!

Evening all,

I have an Zanussi ZKC6020X double oven thats playing up.

When I turn the grill on it heats up for around 1 minute then trips off at the fuse box. Now I did give the outside a good clean a couple of days ago and i’m wondering if some water somehow got in around the control knob!? I checked the top oven earlier that uses the same control knob and that’s appears to be working fine, only the grill trips the fuse box out!

Any thoughts on what’s going on and how to rectify it?

I would think the element is going to earth once hot.

When you say it trips the fusebox. Is it the circuit breaker for the cooker or the main switch for the whole fusebox?
