    We have a SMEG dishwasher less than 18 months old that has developed a strange growl when the wash has finished and the drying part of the program begins. We are totally technically inept and would welcome any advice on what the problem might be. It washes OK but the growling is alarming – sounds like something trying to turn but binding. Fault developed very suddenly. Anyone have any ideas of what to do with the beast?

    Forgot to say – it is a SMEG DF614BE!

    that one has got a drying fan motor so I guess it maybe something to do with that. Would suggest calling expert help.

    Thanks – you were right – the fan was stuck. Used the website to contact an engineer – all fixed. Great forum!
