This dryer is approx 4 years old and it is vibrating very loud sounded like the compressor is low on gas or something else. This is the second one I have come across in a year. The first was a Beko, so I am sensing that it might be a common issue with Beko/Grundig heat pump dryers?

I am not overly familiar with heat pump dryers, I have carried out basic repairs like capacitor for motor, condenser pump and minor stuff but nothing relating to heat pump itself.

Has anyone come across this? If so, what was the remedy?

    Thanks Dave,
I had a quick scan through and not quite been able to determine the source of the loud vibration. I did notice an inline pump which looks like vibrating pump for steam that I usually see in coffee machines but I discounted it as it is too small to make that kind of racket and the steam function was not activated.

Can someone recommend refrigerant leak detector spray or device?

Can weak capacitor be the cause?

I am not able to have a second visit since the owner disposed of the dryer.

I would not worry about refrigerant leak. 1 its unlikely 2 if its was leaking it would very soon not be able to get water out of clothes. also if compressor is noise its scrap

manual allows you to run test programmes so you should know when compressor is active

Also had a lot of hotpoint drain pumps making a hell of a noise for a little tiny unit so dont let a components size put you off checking
