Ice-maker stopped working in January, two weeks before warranty expired – basically, no water coming out (but water dispenser was fine)

I wondered if water feed had perhaps just frozen. But as it was (just) in warranty, I didn’t want to mess around so booked a service call. Engineer said it was the valve and he would return with a replacement a couple of weeks later.

Replaced valve and ice making unit – but problem was still there. He then tested the pipe by blowing through it – it was blocked. Hair-dryer and a bit of my wire and it was fixed.

Less than three days later and it happened again. Now I’m trying to arrange another service visit which should still be covered – but as it’s now out of warranty I’d like to try and fix it myself. I’m well capable, but need to know about the routing as there are two water feeds (I suspect one is for water dispenser and one for ice). I’d normally find a service manual, but can’t.

Is anyone able to give me an idea of the tube’s routing, and also perhaps suggest why it should suddenly start freezing up when it’s otherwise been fine for past 5 years.

    Thanks
