I am planning to change the hinges and guides on by friends Rosieres 4040 cooker. It has two ovens side by side. I can see how to change the outside guides by removing the side panel but how do I get to the two guides in the middle. Many thanks for any help.

IIRC you can take the bottom drawers right out to reveal some holes in the base of the centre partitions, they aren’t quite big enough to get the hinge females through because of the angle you need to slide them in at but the metal is quite soft so stick a big screwdriver through one of the holes and lever it out a bit (you can hammer it back after but in any case it’s totally hidden when the drawers are back in)….then it’s time to go fishing with a bit of wire coat hanger down through the front slots to hook the now inserted new female and pull it up to get the screws in.

As for removing the old ones….undo the screws and let them drop, they will remain hidden on the subframe between the partitions.

Requires a degree of patience. 😉
