ParticipantI have a Fisher Paykel GW10US washing machine.
When the cycle reaches “Spin”, it stops. I can then manually advance the cycle to “Spin” and set the spin to “Slow” and start it and it will spin through the “Slow Spin” and then shut down. I then can manually advance to “Med Spin” and it will complete that and shut down. I can then do the same for “Fast Spin.”
I do not need to adjust the clothes or balance to get it to run that part of the cycle. It just won’t sequence to the next part of the cycle.
What do I need to do to get it to go through the spin process completely on its own?
I’ve pulled the agitator, and everything looks good.
I get the following Codes (assuming the spin lights are registers):
15 24 (All spin lights)
14 45 (Fast, Med and Slow spin lights)
13 242 …
12 2
11 255
10 9
9 80
8 28
7 27
6 255
5 8
4 175
3 0 …
2 0 (Slow and Hold spin light)
1 2 (Hold spin light)
0 0 (No spin lights)August 6, 2008 at 11:59 pm #259150Penguin45

Try the diagnostic sequence as per the “Sticky” at the top of the forum. I have no idea what the numbers you’ve posted mean.

My apologies.
Re: the codes in my first message — While holding “Temp Down” I pressed Power per the instruction sheet inside the washer control panel.
The codes correspond to stepping through the various spin lights where “Hold” = 1, “Slow” = 2, “Med” = 4, “High” = 8, All = 15, etc.
Following the sticky, (I don’t see a GW10US listed in it) I tried it both ways (with and without pressing Advance) — either way, after the short two beeps when the Hold and Slow spin lights are lit, none of the cycle lights are lit at all. But the “Softener Rinse” and “Water Level Low” are both lit.
Sorry to be difficult. Thank you for your help.

Its a faulty control panel, just spent most of day with similar prob, only mine would stop b4 the end of the spin cycle, as well as just like it turned off. but earlier than it should

Turned out it was a leaky water pump.
Not exactly sure how the pump affected the cycling, but the old pump was leaking and after installing a new pump it works fine.
Sometimes you just need to call in a pro.
