Hey, have a frustrating problem. Lights all come on, press start/pause and nothing.

Did the fault test discribed in sticky.

Firstly I didnt hear the two beeps after holding down water temp and power and waiting.

Toggled spin till hold and slow were on. No faults evident.

Any ideas of things to check? Tried it on hot wash and doesnt start filling either.

Hoses all on, filter no blocked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Check lid switch and out of balance switch for function/corrosion/dodgy wiring. Pump may be out of circuit.

Ive looked for the lid switch and cant find anything.

How do i go about accessing the out of balance switch?

Top deck off – two screws at the back of the casing.

hi, have tested the out of balance switch, its working i.e normally closed, then opens when micro switch is pressed in. still not working with it set closed.

Does this model not have a lid switch? I cant see one anywhere.

Would the pump being out of circuit stop the water starting to fill the machine?

    Thanks

Re: GW508k does not start filling

Lid switch is a reed switch under the deck operated by a magnet in the lid itself. Pump not in circuit will stop the machine filling by breaking the neutral circuit – why fill if you can’t empty and know it?

Sounds like you need a test meter…..
