This is a sequencing problem between the motor controller and the display board. Initial step is to unplug the machine for a few seconds, plug back in and restart. The problem may clear. If it doesn’t, you need to turn off the restart facility – the next time it faults, you will get a different code displayed, which may help us to narrow things down a bit.

Thanks for the reply, magical penguin
But can you please tell me how I go about to “turn off the restart facility”?

Not got your user book, have you? 😀
Enter diagnostics – hold Wash Temp Down, then press power. After the 2 beeps, hold down Advance, then press Water Level Down. Low Water Level led should go out. Power off to set in eeprom. You will need to repeat the process to set it back on after fault is identified.

Hey there again,
I followed your instructions but when i press the power off in the final step of turning off the restart facility, the machine starts flashing 00011111, even after I unplug and replug the device.
I then try to get the error code but it gives me 00010001 again! Do you think you can make any sense out of it?

Five lamps means you have managed to turn off restart.
You should have got a different code when you set it off again….. 🙁 .
Just a thought, but you have got the code the right way round? 10001000 is more common problem; motor stall. Usually caused by dodgy wiring to the motor, especially under the drum. If the drum is jammed or stiff to turn you can get that code.

Hey Penguin, I’m reading the lights from RIGHT to LEFT. I think that’s the correct way as per your instructions, and it’s consistent with my observation of seeing the five lights flashing as 00011111.
Thanks for your help anyways, it looks like I’m just going to have to throw the machine out.
