ParticipantHi, firstly thanks for this great resource. I am chasing diagnostic information for a GW709AU to fix a friends machine. It is stopping before the rinse cycle I think. Any assistance would be appreciated. I think it is throwing up the following code, but the last digit was flashing on and off, so Im not sure if we did it right 00100111/0 . Thanks !

Change in water level not detected in time allowed. This is normally a problem with the water level control system – check hose to level switch is not kinked/trapped/holed. Airbell/collection chamber may be choked with detritus. Possible fault with level switch itself, although unlikely.
Power off if going inside…….

Thanks so much for the fast reply. If I could get a copy of the fault codes/procedure that would be fantastic also, as I got the friend to check it over the phone, and I would like to do it myself before I go start to pull it down. Again, thank, I really do appreciate the help. This sort of thing makes the internet worth having.

Your mate has got the code for you, I’ve told you what to look for. If you need to re-check, it goes like this:
Hold down “Wash Temp Down”, then “Power”. Press “Spin” until “Hold” and “Slow Spin” are lit. The progress board will illuminate to show the last fault. It’s a binary code – Lit = 1, off = 0; count goes 1, 2, 4, 8 etc – read from left to right. Bear in mind that the machine will remember this code for up to 8 washes.
Good luck,

I got her to double check the fault code, and now it is gone! Ran a cycle and worked fine. Guessing it won’t last, but will see. I’ll report back if it dies again. Might need a new flux capacitor….. 😀

Change in water level more likely to be not draining or filling quick enough also drain hose too low you have to think outside the fault code with these litle criters
