ParticipantHi folks
Just need bit of cofermation I have not missed anything
When to above m/c sticking on prog.. when tested on prewash it it does usual 3 fills then stops and doesn’t impulse on to next part of prog. If I manualy turn it it starts up and goes thru prog normally.
Checked fill system and float micro both seem ok.. Check wiring round door hinge found ok..
Suspect timer.. just need to know I havent missed anything b4 I order one..
Thanks

£95 timer on a machine that must be well over 15 years old and showing several parts as obsolete in parts list, not sure I would want to go there. 😥
Have you checked the continuity of the float switch to timer wiring, I had one years ago with the exact symptoms, turned out to be a break in this circuit. When the machine is in the fill cycle the timer motor should be running when the fill valve shuts off and the water is draining into the tub then stop when the water level drops and the fill starts again.
If you try it on a wash cycle other that prewash it should also stick if this wiring is at fault, if it only ever sticks at that one place then it does sound like the timer.
If it helps I can dig out a wiring diagram from the crypt for you. 🙂
Jim.
EDIT. Just for Mark. 😉 😆

If it is the timer, EMW do them – £29.90 + VAT. Tel. (01159) 652118. You’ll need the 514—, the 516— or 11200/– number from the unit to order.

Thanks for the help guys..
Wasnt sure which of the wires went back to the timer but did take a good look at wiring under door as I thought this might be the prob but there was no sign of any damage or breaks and no burnt wires on timer either..
But it does seem as if it is a timer motor supply prob as timer motor ok on other part of prog..
Looks like a return trip to check wiring again b4 I order recon timer tho..
Thanks
Mick
