H/Point BWM12 – Timer knob

Hi folks

Went to the above machine yesterday for a leak prob but while was there found the timer dial out on the programs.. Timer knob removal wasn’t obvious but suspect either knob incorrectly fitted at some time or wrong or broken timer knob fitted..

Rather than spend loads of time trying to work out hotpoint’s latest krypton factor test thought I might ask you fine chaps out there how to get the knob off.. looks like it might be a “take the whole control panel off” job. 😕

No idea how it comes off but the timer knob “kit” is part number C00087814 and the indicator disk behind is C00092357 but you should only need the knob.

Thanks for that info Dave… I’ll wait a bit and see if anyone knows how to get it off (the timer knob that is!).. there’s bound to be someone out there…

the only way to remove main timer knob on these machines is to drill a hole in centre to access the retaining screw then replace with c00087814 .

Which begs the question, how was it fitted in the first place if it is retained by a screw, only accessible via a hole that isn’t there until you drill it 😕
