H/point UD47 Cooker – Main Oven Lamp Asy

Hi folks

Went to this the other day to change lamp which had broken in holder. Needed new lamp asy as all knackerd up and imposible to remove base of lamp from holder.

Ordered new lamp asy (C00252615) but looks the same as the top oven lamp asy. Original main oven one potrudes about 1-2″ into the oven to fit flush with the removable back plate so that the glass can be screwed easily. This one fits flush with oven back (appart from glass dome) making it less light efficient and cust would have to remove oven back to unscew glass to change lamp.???

Checked with Connect and they say its the right lamp asy for the bottom oven.

Question? – Have Hotpoint discontinued original lamp asy or can someone supply me with right part no?

It shows top & bottom ovens as having same part on Partfinder.

typed model into Qualtex
they came up with part no you had plus

C00199517

picture looks the same but may be an error check out this part number

may or may not be right so dont take as gospel unless someone else can confirm

Hmm.. wonder if the suround is a spacer to push the lamp asy forward – looks like another visit is in order – least I got the right lampholder by the looks of it.

You may be correct, it doesn’t show the surround in the top oven.
