ParticipantHi Guys
Door stays locked all the time till m/c is switched of at plug. Switching on off button makes no difference .. pilot light goes off but door still stays locked till supply switched off.. Am I right in thinking this is a module fault?
Sure somebody out there must have had this fault before.. or am I missing something like pressure switch prob.. although m/c works fine just won’t open door at end of cycle..
Thanks..
Mick

if the door will not open with machine switched off it is usually because there has been an electrical short in the machine which has jammed the door interlock.

Thanks Suedehead but the door will open with the supply off.. you can hear the lock click and then the door opens.. but as soon as supply is switched on at the plug the door clicks and locks up whether or not the on/off is opperated on the m/c..

sorry i misunderstood your post it sounds like a board or wiring fault,
they are bad for wiring rubbing on the bottom of the tub near the motor.April 6, 2007 at 6:49 pm #210109iadom

Pressure switch may also keep door locked. Take the plug off the pressure switch and try it.

Been back to this today. tried pressure switch which was ok as I thought.. so presume this is module.. unless anyone knows different? This wouldent be the user interface board would it?.. although the on off button seems to work ok as do all the other function buttons and even if it was the on/off button it should still disconnect interlock at end of prog even if m/c switched on?
Lady wants new module so can I just order one up and fit or does it need configuring? If so how do I configure board?
Always ordered up through EMW before and boards come pre-cofigured…
Thanks
Mick

you will need to order the module and the matching pre-programmed eeprom for that model

Had this fault-sent module to EMW who said faulty interlock had damaged the module , they repaired the module which I fitted with a new interlock.Cured the fault.

Looks like this is a module, eprom and door lock job then..
If she still wants this doing (tried to get her to call in h/point under 5 yr warrenty – to no avail).. has any one got the partno for the correct eprom + is it easy enough to fit, any special precautions such as static electricity etc?
Thanks
Mick

Has it got a split outer drum or welded one? For some reason that escapes me completely they have different eeproms. 😥
Welded drum eeprom is a 1605464, screwed drum is a 1605181. Module is same for both, C00091907.
A repair from EMW would be a cheaper option.
