Hi all, seems my washing machine thinks its time for my annual challenge!

Thought I’d seen this problem before and got good advice from folks here. However, when I checked back – last time it was 3 flashes and that was down to a faulty drain pump.

This time I have 5 flashes, so before I spend ages trying to diagnose I thought I’d ask here if anyone can give me any pointers.

If I manage to keep and repair this beast many more times I should be able to write my own service manual at this rate!

    Thanks in advance…

    Vic

Temperature sensor problem. NTC sensor may have failed – check for a reading in kOhms, falling with heat. Broken wiring is possible, failing that, computer bord.

Thanks – time to get my toolkit out and start digging… I’ll post my results.

    Spot on Penguin.

Temperature sensor is intermittent; flex the contacts
apart and it reads OK, press them together and it goes o/c. probably a
mechanical connection failure inside the device. Just off to my friendly local
service centre to see if he has one in stock.

    Thanks again.

Just a quick update to confirm that now I have actually found time to fit the
new NTC all is working fine again.

Thanks again folks… no doubt be back in about year for help fixing it’s
    annual breakdown 😉
