ParticipantHad two Hotpoints washing machines recently with, initially, a H20 fault and then F01.
Both are the newer range about 2 years old.
The door also stays locked and can only be released by pulling the emergency lever. (Even when the machine is unplugged.)
I went through both machines with a fine toothed comb and in the end put the fault down to the module.
Are other people experiencing this fault? And is it just a module fault?

had wmf720 flashing up h20 over christmas after replacing a chattering interlock, thing is, the waste had been siliconed into a standpipe which went straight outside, and we put it down to waste freezing up as it hasnt happened since it warmed up,
so where it would normally just flood the room in that instance, it couldnt displace the air in the stand pipe – bit liek when you have the blue caps in the undersink waste spikes, so me wonders if you have any blockages in plumbing?

Its not a plumbing issue as the machine won’t even start now. Display comes on and door locks but zilch else. ( Induction motor and wiring to it is fine.)
Before this it would h2o and then F01.March 10, 2011 at 8:51 am #346690Martin

You didn’t give us the model number but usually F01 is a motor triac failure, so module and motor duff. 😥
Hand the keys over to Hotpoint to sort it under guarantee? 💡

Confirm Martins diagnosis, Motor triac fault, has poss taken module out, sometimes you fit a new lock and it works for a couple of washes but goes again.
The new ones are even worse, the modules have to be re written due to a faulty eprom file that sends the motor into a full reverse spin a split second after doing a clockwise spin. Can result in a big bang as the motor segments fly off and a costly repair as usually blows the module as well. Customer also complains of seeing sparks coming from underneath the machines. :rolls: -
