I have a low budget washer that has performed excellently for the past 2 years
We recently had an error code come on the machine reading err 7

I am a fully qualified electrician and have some understanding of control and motors but am a complete amateur when it comes to these appliances

I looked up in the little foriegn user instructions and the only reference was err 7= motor error

The motor itself is running and the pump is emptying the water, however, the programme doesn’t complete its cycle before the error message comes up and stops that cycle

I would appreciate information on what this error message means and whether the probable cause would be worth having it repaired,as opposed to getting a replacement

I thank you for any response that you may be kind enough to make.(money is tight and we are hoping for the best )

    Having searched for information
I have now sorted what was a very simple problem, I hope the solution may benefit someone having a similar problem in future

I removed the rear plate for investigation and eventually found that the socket that supplies the washer motor was not making adequate contact on all pins
With a bit of playing about.I was able to get a much better contact and error message dis appeared and now runs fine
