ParticipantHave just obtained a washer dryer machine and when I am drying after a short time it stops and shows EC4, which I can only presume is an error message?!
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Have you been given this machine or bought it second hand?
It is a Chinese made machine of very dubious quality, poor spares back up and limited technical support.
Whilst Bryan’s reply may not have seemed that helpful he was being 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} truthful, apart from the fact that ‘washing machine heaven’ is not where most of these machines will be going. Mephistopheles will get his hands on them first. 😥

Hi Becky,
I’ve hunted the forums, just in case and I’ve scanned through our upcoming fault code guide and there’s absolutely nothing on these Haier made washing machines. We’ve seen plenty of the dishwashers and have some info on those as they break constantly, but little to nothing on the washing machines yet.
Someone must know though, there’s bound to be someone who’s been “lucky” enough to have worked on these washers.
Sorry we’re a bit down on these but the amount of them we see bust is just unreal. 😕

I attended a Baumatic washer last week, which proved to be a Chinese built Ariston copy. I have to say that it was not that badly put together, and the burnt-out joint on the motor PCB was easily repaired.
As the Haier branded appliances themeselves are currently sold through Comet, using their service network may be the only choice at the moment.
