Hi folks,
I am a newbie here on this forum, and found it whilst seeking advice for solutions to my dishwasher problem.
The above Siemens dishwasher has power, all timers and programmers appear to work, the re-set mechanism works, but across all temperature ranges it has developed a problem of “hanging”.
It begins a programme, you hear the motor working and the machine drains some water through the drain hose from what I presume is some kind of sump.
The next step hears the motor almost ‘cough’, then ‘cough’ again…this was when the washer would kick in and start to work spraying water. As it is now, it stops, no water starts to spray and the machine just ‘hangs’.
It has had weekly cleaning cycles since new, always has salt added before the salt light comes on, and generally got run on the 70degree cycle, rarely at the auto cycle, and never lower than that.
I plan on stripping it down this weekend, and have found a variety of spares on E-spares, but thought to ask for advice here first for those who may have encountered this problem or indeed fixed such an issue themselves.

First bit of advice : don’t buy spares from eSpares!
Second: Take the left hand side panel off and that gives full access to inlet matrix, strip and clean that then try it again. And lest you ask, no we don’t give step by step accounts on what to look for or how to get it apart, that’s left to the skills of the individual.
Finally, Siemens have their own spares web site, just Google Siemens eShop uk. 😀

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your reply.
I have since posting this discovered lots by trawling through threads into the wee small hours last night.
I’ve read that this is the most common issue and will be doing just that this weekend.
I also discovered the Siemens E-shop whilst searching for relevant parts.
Step by step not required, I’m pretty practical.
Been scared rigid by some of the tales of live testing!!….
