    So the best, most well built washing machines that are actually designed to last at least 20 years are penalised more because they are heavy whereas someone producing a tin can pile of throwaway trash is less affected if it’s nice and light? Crazy.

    One glimmer of hope might be that in the life of one Miele or ISE 10 there will be at least three indespoint throw-aways which will be heavier in total…despite their bean tin construction 😆

    Correct.

    And, with the “deal” that the compliance schemes have done with one another the evidence costs them a whole £8 per metric tonne. So about 50p per machine they scrap, it’s hardly going to put any of them off just stickign to the current policies.
