ParticipantI have a Ariston Margherita AV1247C S/N 605093698 yes I know its old Not long after we brought it we moved to France in 2002 shortly after it stopped working we had the motor tested and that was fine but that was as far as they could go – so we brought a new one and for whatever reason kept the thing.
Well hubby decided to have another look at it the other week and said he thought it was the electronic board that controls the movement of the drum and programmer so he took it off and I searched and found one on ebay brought fitted it and sure enough it worked went right through a wash no problem until it came to the end when you have to wait for the doorlock to switch off well as it did a few seconds later it tripped the electric fuse off in the fuse box. My question is have I got the right part here are the info on the old unit and then the new unitOld unit

Impossible to say if you have the correct part but as it is a very basic, non programmable module then there is a very good chance it is the correct one. Unless the pcb is visibly damaged or burnt out then it is unlikely to cause the machine to trip.
We do not have all those numbers only the part number designated by the manufacturer which is C00032851.
The door interlock is a common cause of such failures but the only real way to find out is to megger all components for insulation leaks first.

well it does look like its the doorlock having tested 3 times now and it happens each time my question now is can you just disconnect it or will that cause another problem and thanks for helping us out

Not safe to disconnect, quite a cheap part to buy though.

I am guessing that you are not able to do this as I advised?
