Participanthotpoint wmm39. set programme machine fills, ramps up into spin for about 1 second pauses then ramps up into spin for another second then does nothing, no fault codes cancels as normal, resets. thought problem would be board so ordered and fitted. same problem occurs. replaced door lock on fitting board, checked heater checked wiring loom. is this a motor fault. has anyone had the same problem.
next headache
hotpoint wt 540. lady has been given machine from a friend, who said it was working ok. symptom is power on. lights 1.2.3.4. counting from top to bottom flash ,and also the final spin light and the on/off light. upon inspection discovered that the 3 pin plug had been wired wrong ie.live to neutral, neutral to live. i am presuming this may be a board fault, but dont know which board may be dodgy, if any.
any help most appreciated

Yeah tell me about it Darren, working Saturdays is always a pain but in my case a bl**dy necessity due to the overall drop in trade you have to work when you can, ain’t that the truth?:rolls:
On the WT540 by the way I haven’t a scooby doo as to the plug wired wrong but being as these beasts are 3 phase I wouldn’t be at all surprised that the LED’s now compete with Blackpool illuminations….best ask my mate iadom TBH…what he don”t know about them ain’t worth knowing anyway! 😀

DarrenIf it “was working OK” before was it that the new owner changed the plug or had it always been like that?
If the latter, then it could be the 680uf on the main board. See “Simple PCB repairs” sticky. Worth looking at that in either case.

asked the young lady who put the plug on the machine, she said she didnt know, but did mention her brother had fitted the machine. can only presume where it was before needed the moulded plug removed to fit, hence a knew plug has been fitted, will see if i can find out. will also have a look at the board. thanks for the suggestion.

regarding saturdays i try to keep them clear, but if the week preceeding was not so good, the mortgage gives me a bit incentive to get out there.lol -
