ParticipantI recently bought a tub of washing liquid pouches from Costco as it was very cheap and decided to try it out. On the tub as it was clearly marketed for American consumers, it says suitable for HE machines. I thought what’s on earth is HE machines so I googled it – stands for High Efficiency machines otherwise known to us eco friendly front loader.
I scrolled down the website and read their comments. My gosh! They, the Americans are really that stupid on their front loader, there is a class group lawsuit over a mouldy door seal. The claims were manufacturers putting their health at risk due to mould and allergies.
They even complained about Chinese tat but clearly they have not yet experienced Hotpoint, Bosch, Beko, Miele or perhaps the almost high quality Haier.
Well as we have years of experiences on front loader, we ought to educate the yanks. It was an eye opener!
The link to the website…

I’m sure one of the lawsuits was against Whirlpool originally and was reported on at UKWG’s a year or two ago. 😉
All you need to know is usually HERE 🙂

Maytag, Whirlpool, LG and probably just about anyone else that makes a front loading washer has been hauled over the coals about this.
The upshot of it is, people want all the energy saving, polar bear hugging good feelings with the savings more important than the polar bear friendliness but they simply refuse to accept in any way, shape or form, that they have to adopt new practices to achieve that.
They do it wrong.
It all goes a bit wrong.
They blame anyone at all but themselves and try to get compensation for the hassle and “emotional trauma” that they’ve suffered at the hands of these evil corporations that are (allegedly) selling them sub-standard machines that smell and go mouldy.
Of course, it’s got absolutely nothing to do with what you put in the machines, say the claimants. :rolls:
I’ve been monitoring it in the USA and, so far as I can see, the vast bulk of what they’re on about is the owner’s own fault and these class actions are liable to get tossed. One already has been from memory although they may have resurrected it. The judges are getting just as fed up with this nonsense as everyone else.

Where there’s blame there’s a claim, so it’s only a matter of time before a legal president is adjudged in court. And where better than in the good old USA. You can bet your bottom dollar (do you like the pun? Well up to speed me 😉 :clown: ) some smart are$ed lawyers are itching for a huge lawsuit against the manufacturers of detergents and appliances. If it can be proven then panic will set in around the world.
Meanwhile, do remember to wash your underwear at 60 degrees or you may die before the case comes to court. 😀
