Participantmy name is idan and i am living in Israel
I’m fixing laundry machine , dishwasher dry machine and oven for 5 years .
in Israel we used 220 v 50 Hz
here we have lots of kind the most one
that i know is Bosch cause people here think that Germany quality is the best but when they have a problem they start crying about the price
i learn fixing machine for 2 years .
the problem is that the schools doesn’t teach you
how to check electronic board , i learned allot about old machine
and not on digital machine and i really need(must) learn about all the
machine cause thats my job
the truth is that in Israel the most people prefer to buy new machine
if the board have problem cause its expensive to fix
and cost half of new machine .maybe there is a book or something?

Hi Idan and welcome to the forums.
First of all let us know a little bit more about yourself.
1. How long have you been in the domestic appliance repair business.
2. What training or previous experience have you had.
3. What manufacturers machines are the most common in Israel.
4. What is the standard electrical supply in your country.
EDIT
Cancel that last question, needed a bit of finding but Google got there in the end, supply in Israel is 230 V AC 50 Hz.Due to the vast number of motors ( engines ) and modules, PCB’s or cards used it would be impossible to answer your question in any useful way. Some boards can be ‘interrogated’ if you have the correct software, sadly this is mostly only available to the manufacturers own engineers and not to the independent trade. In some cases the card will have obvious signs of damage but in the vast number of cases it is a matter of experience and step by step elimination of any possible faults on all the other components before you get down to the electronics.

The Haynes manuals I mentioned in the PM I sent you are good for the first step basics, you should be able to obtain them via Amazon or similar.
This thread in the trade forums here http://tinyurl.com/jwzhj has lots of useful information.
That thread has been edited into a comprehensive guide, http://tinyurl.com/2ja9jv
Not sure if there are any left or how much it would cost you to have one shipped out to you, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk may get you further information.
There are just far to many different manufacturers, all using different components and error messages. You would be far better off asking specific questions as and when you get stuck on a particular machine.
One thing to remember is that model numbers on machines sold in Israel will be different to the ones sold in the UK in most cases.

Indeed it appears Israel has may things in common with regard to appliances. Just down the road in Africa they approach the problems we have to deal with quite differently though. They don’t meddle with modules, don’t even bother with electricity!

Doing the washing in Kenya
I bet they don’t need too many service engineers to fix them either! 😉
