    Hello,

have a Samsung J845 ( i am in Australia) which is identical to a J1253,

could hear a noise during wash, so at end took filter cap off to reveal a 5 cent coin and paper clip, and another larger pin

re-screwed fliter cap and ever since have had a reasonable leak from the filter cap (maybe a half to one litre), have taken filter out and rescrewd but again leaks

does the filter cap “seal” need replacing or is something more serious,

    any help appreciated

    thankyou

Is there lugs on the filter which slide in/line up on the pump body vortex chamber?

    hello,

yes, the filter cap has a white plastic attachment which slides into the chamber, there is 2 grooves in the chamber and I have been sliding it into these

the white attachment which is attached to the filter cap also has a rubber seal on it

    thankyou

It’s the lowest point of the machine……..

Ensure that there are absolutely no deposits lying in the threads where the filter screws in. It will stop it going home and water will dribble out.
