    Hi
I need some help. A couple of days ago our condenser tumble dryer stoped generating heat. It still tumbles but obviously to no avail.

My guess was, unsuyrprisingly, that the heater was gubbed. I have found the necessary part and am condiering fitting it myself.

So my question is, how difficult is this? Should I go ahead or get an engineer. From the look of the heater it seems like a plug and replace job.

Also, Is there any other reason why the machine is acting as it is?

    Regards and thanks
    David

Why ‘guess’ if the heater is faulty, no heat failure is more often due to thermostat faulure than the element itself. You, or someone who knows how to use a multimeter or meggar should test the heater, stats, wiring etc before fitting parts via guesswork that may not be faulty.

    Jim.
