My hotpoint DWF30 will not take on water. the program goes off as if normal but with no water in it, (if you fill it up first it works normally). first thought was inlet valve but this has tested fine. so any thoughts? my current ideas are a water level sensor? some problem with the sequence control or maybe a thyristor on the valve control (just a guess as there are 200V Ac on both lines to valve so presume its a thyristor controled sytem and i`m measuring leakage across each line to gnd? is there a reset i can do to the controller?

    Re: HELP! DWF30

Presumably it thinks it already has water in, if it runs the programme. You need to check water level switch function, and air lines to it for blockages.

For the benefit of future readers, we do not advise anyone to work on a live appliance.

having checked all lines, both float sensors on the left hand side, and bench tested the micro switches, still nothing. system works apart from will not open the valve to let water in! very frustrating. any other suggestions? 🙁
