ParticipantI have a 2 year old (just out of guarantee) ZDQ695 Zanussi Double Fan Assisted Oven. A few weeks ago the ‘fan’ cooking stopped working. When we look inside the oven the fan is not spinning and there is no heat generated.
The convection oven however still works.
Can anyone please offer some assistance?April 21, 2007 at 4:05 pm #211382gegsy

I take it the clock is set and that it is set to manual (hand symbol or equivalent)Greg

Hi Greg,
Thanks for replying. The clock is set. Can you explain what you mean by it being set to manual.

Hi
Manual setting (normal use) in respect of timer setting (remote cooking start and end).
You will have to check your manual as I am not familiar with your oven.
The clocks on most ovens have the same function more or less hence my comment 🙂The grill and top oven work but the main oven
does not.
Check that the time of day has been set on the clock.
Check that the oven is set for manual cooking.Greg

Very often, there should be some sort of “hand” symbol in the display.

Hello,
Yes everything seems to be OK with timer – ie. normal setting. The ordinary (convection) cooking works OK it’s just when you switch to fan cooking nothing happens.

There appears to be a safety cut-out for the main oven, however this would stop all oven functions if tripped. I think you need to look at the oven function selector switch – it may have burnt/melted contacts.
Power off if you intend to do this yourself, if not, click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area.
