HELP – HOOVER WASHER NOT WORKING

Hi there – I wonder if anyone could help me – I have a Hoover HF103E Washing machine – It seems to keep stopping in mid programme and the maxi load buttong led and the start led just keep flashing every five seconds – My son changed the spin dial half way through the wash and i thought that was the problem because my nephew once changed the dail to do a 90degree programme and the machine was stuck in this cycle. In the end we just held the start button in and it carried on and was fine. We have tried this but it doesnt work – Ive tried turning it off by the plug and leaving it – when i did this yesterday i then tried to put it on a drain programme which worked and then a spin which also worked but then when i tried a normal programme it stopped again in mid programme! now when i try the above (to drain and spin) it wont work. It just stops with water in the drum.

Any advice??

My only other thought is about two weeks ago something came out of my washer ripped and i never found the other part (it was about 5cm by 10cm) im thinking could this be stuck some where – and would it cause this??

As you can see im a woman and no nothing about electrical items!! (apart from now trying to keep my son as far away as possible!!!

Hi there – Thank you – Yes there was the item of clothing that had ripped in the filter and also a couple of hair pins!! – I have run the washer on a short 29 min programme and it completed it – CHEERS 😛
