KeymasterHas anyone come across this one before….and yes ive done a search and cant find any other references to this fault….LOL but could be wrong
Ariston A1636 automatic 1600rpm jobbie!!! has a strange fault ive never seen before….start a cycle and it fills ok….get some motor action and then it starts to constantly fill and pump out!!! 3 lidicator lights flash on the front panel….
Easy Iron…..Rapid Wash and the door light flashes and you can open the door…..I thought maybe overloaded or something simple but still does it with no load…..although customer does say it will occasionally do a cycle without any problems…and does when I visit……hydraulics seem clear and operate ok..no high resistances across the p/switch contacts….so im puzzled….
Can anyone shed any light on this fault ASAP as not a very accomodating customer!!!????
Regards
Col

Its much better if you give us the neons by number from the left, or top to bottom. You may even be able to check them yourself in the Known Error Codes thread, look at the WIDL codes posted by Dave Conway, page #3 I think.

Well the neons/leds or whatever are in two vertical rows
of 4 side by side but counting from top left and counting downwards
the neons flashing are 7 & 8 on second bank and the door lock….I personally
have not seen this appliance type before….. are the WIDL codes the
correct codes?Any help?

Sounds like it is 3 + 4, or NTC fault, I think they only use one bank of neons for error codes. it could just be bad connections on the PCB or the PCB itself. These machines with Indesit electronics are a complete PITA to say the least. 😥

Thanks Jim that makes sense to me…I couldnt see the woods for the trees
on this one for some reason…..ll take a look at it again with a view to
it being NTC / pcb related problem using WIDL codes ….
and ill post a reply to what I find out….Thanks again…

Thanks to all of you……
I had indeed shortened the wires a little and checked the wiring through….focusing on the connections….as Jim advised and hey presto no more feedback from my grumpy customer since repair carried out!!!!!
So guess all fine now..but reluctant to check with customer…..but you all know what its like, suddenly every repair can be put down to the last repair and its up to you to sort it for free!!!!!! :rolls: but im sure I would have heard by now….
Thanks to you allCol
